About this position

GoodWe is looking for a Product Manager for South America region, being responsible to define, analyze the local market portfolio, understand the local demands and standards requirements. Should manage and provide products certification according to local regulations and perform related tests to ensure the total compatibility, performance and durability of products in local market environmental and operational conditions. Support headquarters’ R&D on the development and bugging of new products and features. Support sales teams with national and international market strategies for maximum competitiveness. Manage the information transmission between local departments and HQ regarding features and products, to optimize the application of the company’s portfolio in SAM markets and to ensure that our product development is accurate to the local market needs.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Define and control local market portfolio;

· Collect market product demands from the SAM region and perform detailed PV market analysis;

· Analyze market demands and propose new products and features according to SAM market development trends, photovoltaic policies and trends, major customer information, project information, etc.

· Analysis and feedback of the competitors’ portfolio and features,

· Collect and sort out product information, solution information and main customer information from competitors;

· Analyze new products and features demand;

· Analyze and feedback about standards requirements from local regulations;

· Manage and provide product certifications (INMETRO, ANATEL, etc.)

· Collaborates with sales, operations and supply chain divisions to ensure right products are launched at the right time;

· Collaborates with management in developing roadmaps and technology stacks to support the company’s strategy;

· Define selling points from each product;

· Analyze development from local market;

· Support the transmission of product, program information, change information, and demand information from HQ to local technical staff;

· Collect the local technical staff feedback about features and products and feedback to HQ;

· Manage timely the update of technical documents (datasheets, user manuals, brochures, etc.);

· Support promotion and launching of new products and features for each country of the region;

· Align technical solution with optimization from customers’ needs;

· Control part numbers from local portfolio;

· Respond queries from internal and external customers;

· Product planning;

· Analyze and define Ex-tariffs;

· Support sales teams regarding import strategies and HS codes;

· Manage third party testing lab;

· Perform product durability tests;

· Perform new product and features tests and debugging;

· Support HQ R&D product development according to customers’ needs, in order to optimize the company's existing products and ensuring product stability during the transition from product development to mass production.

· Identifies, evaluates and compares technologies and solutions for PV inverters, storage, load management, BIPV and EV chargers

· Manage and provide compatibility process between company’s products with 3rd party devices;

· Develop real world cases and work together with 3rd party institutions to boost company’s products application scenarios.


Requirements:

· Fluent in Mandarin; Advanced English and desirable Spanish;

· Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Photovoltaics, Renewable Energy or other comparable degree;

· Advanced knowledge of PV Inverters;

· At least 5 years of experience with PV inverters;

· At least 2 years of experience in the Brazilian PV market;

· Experience with DG and CG projects;

· Experience with PV energy storage inverter;

· Experience with lead-acid and lithium batteries for PV storage systems;

· General knowledge of Electricity, Product, Product Solution and Processes;

· Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and PVSyst;

· Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and strong communication skills;

· Excellent command in MS Office and other PV software;

· Strongly networked in the renewable energy, mainly in Solar PV industry.

· Analytical skills, relationship management qualities, and leadership abilities.
